Simply working comfortably
In the woodworking machinery sector, operation via touchscreen controller has become more and more the standard in recent years. That is why even the most standard MARTIN shapers are equipped with this modern type of controller. However, even the best hardware is useless without straightforward and intuitive software.

The controller has to think like the operator
We at MARTIN have long since become aware of this fact and offer our customers one of the best operating concepts on the market. Wanting to remain this way, we are never content with standard solutions and are constantly working to improve our software. New controller functions and improvements are continually analyzed and tested here at MARTIN for applications concerning every day use to make set-ups faster and more comfortable and operation more intuitive. Upgrading the controller of a machine always leads to an increase in productivity, more ease of use and more accurate results. Updating the software on a machine leads to an increase in productivity, especially if you are setting up new tools or instructing a new employee, thereby bringing down your costs.

Overview on our innovations:

Reset Function (T12 and T27):
Simple resetting of the spindle height and depth to „0“, without having to use the tool database or the tool reference/conversion. Any chosen point along the tool can be used as a reference point without having to store it. This feature can be used as a quick form of introduction into the use of the machine controller. Of course the normal tool conversion can still be used as well.

Collision protection (T27):
A collision of the machine’s quill assembly and the electrically adjustable table rings is prevented. If a collision risk occurs, the controller indicates it to the operator and only allows those axis to move that do not create this risk.

Operator guided / automated updates (T12 / T27):
You are guided trough the process of updating the software in four steps. The status of the data backup, the installation of the new controller software and the restoration of data is now indicated to the operated to the operator.

Optimization of the alphabetic search function (T12 / T27)
If you indicate the initial letter of the program you are searching for, a list of the programs in question will be generated. You then simply select the program from the list.

The program indicates the tools that are currently in use (T12 / T27)
The menu “programs“ shows the operator the programs that are associated with the active tools that are currently in use.

Program/tool data field for note taking (for all touch-screens)
Information that is important for the user can be stored for programs and tools as well (only for T12 / T27). When the operator selects the tool or the program, they will come across these important notes.
