Leitz Dust Flow Control DFC

Far exceeding requirements
For many years now, all MARTIN sliding-table saws have easily held their dust emission levels well under the stipulated dust emission limit of 2 mg/m³, in some cases as much as 90% below the limit. So could there possibly be any more room for improvement? And why invest more time and energy if the results are already impressive? The answer is easy – because further improvements can be achieved with relatively little effort.
DFC reduces emissions by another 75%
As a matter of fact, the T60 as well as the T74 can achieve another clear reduction of dust emission by more than 75% with Dust Flow Control – a technology developed by LEITZ. The difference was so dramatic that when the BG trade association testers in Stuttgart performed a comparative test, at first they thought there was something wrong with their instruments. But, as it turned out, the instruments were fine, the test set-up was fine – there was just almost no dust at all left to measure. So when it comes to MARTIN sliding-table saws in daily use in your workshop this means that you could say they are essentially dust-free.
High-performance even with low-flow extraction systems
Another advantage of this new, patent pending principle from LEITZ that was further adapted for sliding-table saws in close cooperation with MARTIN, is the fact that it still works excellently even if combined with an extraction system that is not particularly powerful. Even at a flow velocity of below 15 m/sec. at the machine outlet, the real-world simulated test still showed impressive results: The ‘old’ MARTIN values were undercut by more than 60%.
DFC becomes standard equipment
DFC is clearly an important and practical step towards a perceptibly cleaner working environment and makes working with MARTIN sliding-table saws even more pleasant than before. As of June 2008 all MARTIN sliding-table saws will be equipped with the LEITZ Dust Flow Control – at no extra cost.
